Abstract

Sun energy is essential alternate energy supply for renewable energy source. For the most of part in India's sunshine hours are 6 hours, at the same time as India's sunshine hours are 3/4 months per year a day In order to track the energy from the sun, solar photovoltaic modules are required. The solar photovoltaic modules have multiple power outputs to meet load requirements. Though to maximizing the power from solar photovoltaic modules an artificial neural network (ANN) based maximum power point tracking (MPPT) controller is used, such that to improve the efficiency of PV system even under abnormal weather conditions. And also to reduce the torque and current ripples of asynchronous motor drive. Here a DC-DC boost converter and a space vector modulation based inverter are used to provide the required power to the load. In addition, by comparing the traditional and proposed MPPT controllers with Mat lab/Simulation results, to prove the better performance of proposed MPPT controller then the traditional MPPT methods under abnormal weather conditions. And actual verification and tabulation were also carried out.
