Abstract
This paper is concerned with the micropolar fluid flows in two-dimensional bounded domains. Based on Gronwall type inequalities, it is proved that the L 2 -global attractor and the H 2 -global attractor are the same and thus established the asymptotic smoothing effect of solutions.
