Abstract
Introduction. Considerable advances have recently been made in the problem of the asymptotic behavior of the discrete spectrum of a pseudodifferential operator (see survey in [I]). The available results refer to operators in spaces of functions of a finite number of arguments, and include results in the problem of quantum mechanics concerning the asymptotic behavior of the energy levels as the number increases.
