Abstract
A formula describing the asymptotic electron distribution function as t→∞ is obtained by selecting phase variables, taking into account the conservation of the longitudinal component of the electron velocity in a uniform, external magnetic field. Several initial distributions are considered. It is shown that there is no universal asymptotic distribution for an arbitrary initial isotropic distribution.
