Abstract

Using renormalization group techniques, the asymptotic behaviour of 〈 n P 〉 in models with strong coupling pomeron interactions is found to be ln s P(1+ γ) . In the Gribov reggeon calculus γ=η(η= lim ln σ T (s) ln ln s ) , in an absorptive model γ=− η. The values of 〈n P〉 〈n〉 P are calculated pertubatively. The Gribov model results are shown to be consistent with positivity requirements, and in suprisingly good agreement with experimental values at present energies.
