Abstract
This paper deals with the asymptotic behaviors, as the similarity variable η → ∞, of the solutions of equations governing the steady laminar incompressible boundary layer flow of an electrically conducting fluid at the symmetric stagnation point of a 3D body; the discussions being based on the asymptotic integrations of second order linear differential equations. It has been found that the principal and linearly independent solutions will exhibit asymptotic behaviors only under certain physical conditions to be imposed on them.
