Abstract
Penicillium marneffei is an AIDS-defining endemic mycosis in Southeast Asia. Patients usually present with fever weight loss mucocutaneous lesions lymphadenopathy hepatomegaly or pulmonary infiltrates. We hereby report the first case of asymptomatic P. marneffei fungemia in an HIV-infected patient. (excerpt)
