Abstract

Abstract Although percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) is a minimally invasive treatment procedure for the painful osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture, cement leakage into the venous system can occur and early detection and immediate management should be initiated despite the absence of clinical symptoms. We experienced a case of accidental finding of cement fragment extending from paravertebral vein into inferior vena cava and pulmonary artery. We have to be aware of cement leakage through the paravertebral venous drain system under fluorescence. It provided a classic image for cement leakage through the venous circulatory system.
