Abstract

Data are presented for the deeply inelastic high-multiplicity exclusive reaction ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p4{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}3{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ at 11 $\frac{\mathrm{GeV}}{c}$. It is shown that asymmetry moments of the longitudinal-momentum distributions of the final-state particles can be interpreted qualitatively in terms of the additive quark model, but that some contribution from double scattering or more complex interactions may be indicated. It is shown also that similar results can be obtained from models not involving quarks. Specific cases of the Zieminski $F(t)$ model and the Chan-\L{}oskiewicz-Allison model are discussed.
