Abstract

We first examine the energy dependence of the asymmetry parameters in Λ β-decay by using the published data on the proton asymmetry parameter and its energy spectrum. Based on a refined calculation we show that the energy dependence of the asymmetry parameter makes these proton data more self-consistent, and a better agreement with the Cabibbo model is achieved. We also attempt a crude estimate of radiative corrections to the lepton asymmetry parameters in the framework of the effective current-current interaction. Our result based on a suitable cut-off procedure suggests that the radiative corrections are of the order of 1–3% depending on the cut-off parameter.
