Abstract
The conventional harmonic analysis of the experimental angular distribution function requires cumbersome integrations with suitable weight functions [Pn(cos θ), Ymn(θ,ϕ) or eimϕ]. Here we propose a much simpler analysis of the experimental data with the help of asymmetry moments. It is shown that the value of a suitable asymmetry moment may be used as a parity or spin test.
