Abstract

For rotating molecules, scattered by particles of radial symmetry, the total elastic collision cross section is investigated. It is assumed, that the scattering takes place in a region, where a weak magnetic field is applied. Asymmetric terms in the intermolecular potential are taken into account as a small perturbation. The final result can be used to analyze experimental data obtained in scattering experiments with polarized molecular beams.
