Abstract

Purpose: Musculoskeletal injuries continue to plague the U.S. military. Prior studies have associated individual risk factors, like previous injury, body composition, and aerobic capacity, with injury risk in military populations. This prospective cohort study aimed to investigate if interaction between individual predictors, using a decision tree model, could be used to develop a population-specific algorithm of Lower Extremity Injury (LEI) risk.
