Abstract
Asymmetric, reagent-controlled bromolactonizations of allenoic acids have been achieved by using (DHQD)<sub>2</sub>PHAL as catalyst. A range of substrates can be cyclized in good yields and moderate to good enantioselectivities under operationally simple conditions.
