Lippincott, S. L. Abstract The analysis of the Sproul plates from 1937 to 1976 on Ci 18, 2354 yields an improved photocentric orbit. A period of 26.37 yr and a =0 .033 yield a mass of 0.009 for the companion, assuming m y > 16. The upper limit is likely not more than 0.06 . It is very likely that the companion is, therefore, substellar. The positions of Wolf 1062 from plates 1938-1976 reveal an unseen companion from a photocentric orbit with P = 2 .45 and a = . A likely minimum mass for the invisible component is 0.06 and the upper limit is 0.13 Publication: The Astronomical Journal Pub Date: November 1977 DOI: 10.1086/112147 Bibcode: 1977AJ.....82..925L Keywords: Astrometry; Astronomical Photography; Binary Stars; Companion Stars; Orbit Calculation; Parallax; Photographic Plates; Stellar Motions; Astronomy full text sources ADS | data products SIMBAD (4)
