Abstract
Developing therapeutics to improve metastatic brain cancer prognosis is hampered by limited experimental systems that recapitulate the brain tumor microenvironment. In this issue of Developmental Cell, Ishibashi etal. describe a glial-cancer cell co-culture system that enabled the identification of a targetable, astrocyte-driven mechanism of brain metastasis.
