Abstract
RATIONALE: Multiple studies have shown that obesity leads to an elevation in markers of systemic inflammation such as CRP, TNF. Animal models have revealed that the proinflammatory state of obesity contributes to organ specific inflammation. We sought to determine weather exiled nitric oxide (eNO) as a marker of eosinophilic airway inflammation would be elevated in obese asthmatics versus obese nonasthmatics.
