Abstract

Objective To investigate the bronchial asthma (asthma) control of outpatient asthma case.Methods 238 cases of asthma were detected allergen-specific serum IgE antibody (sIgE) by the German Mediwiss sensitive detection system and treated according to the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) and our grading standards for asthma guidelines recommend drug for (75+ 15) d.Asthma diary and asthma control test (ACT) scale were recorded.ACT score ≥ 20 points will be defined as good control of asthma and ACT score ＜ 20 points as uncontrolled asthma.Results After 3 months of standardized treatment,according to ACT scale,good controlled rate was 66.81％ (159/238) and uncontrolled rate of 33.19％ (79/238).Asthma uncontrolled group of patients had 82.28％ (65/79)smoking history,79.75％ (63/79) of raising pet,79.75％ (63/79) of allergic rhinitis history.It was significantly higher than controlled group of 14.46％ (23/159),14.46％ (23/159),56.60％ (90/159)respectively.In addition,the rate of occupational factors,poor compliance and combined with skin allergies in uncontrolled group was significantly higher than controlled asthma. Moreover,inhaled allergens such as:dogs and cats dander,common molds,sIgE-positive rates were 44.30％ (35/79),27.85％ (22/79) in uncontrolled group,significantly higher than controlled group of 24.53％ (39/159),7.55％ (12/159) while sIgE-positive rate of dust mites was same in two groups. For the seasonal allergens:spring tree pollen,fall short ragweed artemisia and humulus,sIgE-positive rates were 34.18％(27/79),43.04％ (34/79),16.45％ (13/79),in uncontrolled group,significantly higher than controlled group of 18.24 ％ (29/159),29.56％ (47/159) and 6.29％ (10/159).Conclusions ACT is a simple and effective method for evaluation asthma control.Smoking,pets,allergic rhinitis,compliance are the main factors for asthma control.Pet dander,mold,and common seasonal allergens are major allergens.
