Abstract

The Journal this month salutes the Northern California Association of Industrial Nurses, a vigorous local chapter of the AAIN. The Northern California group was organized in the fall of 1955. There are now 70 members of the NCAIN. It is estimated that there is a membership potential of 100 in the San Francisco area encompassed by the group. In addition to the educational activities described in the accompanying articles, the group sponsors some 10-Association meetings a year, an annual professional symposium, and a Nurse-Management banquet. Currently, Miss Kathryne Kelly, nursing consultant for the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company is serving as President of the NCAIN, while Mrs. Catharine M. Colling of the Standard Oil Company of California is the immediate past president.
