Abstract

(Abstracted from JAMA 2018;320(23):2429–2437) Nausea and vomiting is common in pregnancy and is reported to occur in up to 80% of women. About one-third of women with nausea and vomiting during pregnancy have symptoms that are clinically significant, and a small percentage develop hyperemesis gravidarum, which is the most common indication for hospital admission during the first part of pregnancy.
