Abstract

Preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) offers a unique opportunity to investigate genetic etiologies for impaired reproductive outcomes associated with obesity in women who undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). It is currently unknown whether inferior IVF outcomes in obese women are caused by an impaired uterine environment, compromised oocyte quality, or a combination of the two. To date, attempts to isolate the effect of body mass index (BMI) on IVF outcomes using the donor IVF model have produced inconclusive results.
