Abstract

Introduction: Atherogenic index of plasma (AIP), a logarithmically transformed ratio of triglycerides (TGL)/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) is associated with atherogenic lipoproteins, lipoprotein particle size, and is a marker of cardiovascular (CV) risk and associated outcomes. Coronary plaque characterization by coronary CTA (CCTA) serves as a prognostic marker for adverse CV events. The association of AIP and coronary plaque burden on CCTA is not known.
