Abstract

<h2>Abstract</h2> Assisted reproduction in the UK is regulated by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority, which is required to regulate in accordance with the requirement of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act (1990) that the welfare of children that might result from assisted reproduction should be considered. This contribution raises an important problem in how we can think of the welfare of such children and demonstrates how this makes a difference for how we think of so-called ‘saviour siblings'.
