Abstract
The influences of mechanical and thermal actions specific to abrasive-jet machining on the distribution of stresses in various surface-layer phases of Si3N4 ceramic were investigated. An approach to selecting the operating modes during preliminary and finishing processes was proposed based on the established trends.
