Abstract
This paper investigates the uncertainty issue of wind power and analyzes the impact of wind power on power system with the construction of wind farm on different locations. Accordingly, an approach based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is proposed to obtain the best site of wind power plant in power grid. The wind speed at the site for constructing wind power plant as well as the advantages of reducing loss and improving voltage profile in power system because of using the appropriate wind power are considered in the analysis. Since the wind speed is fluctuation and uncertainty, the conventional deterministic method is not proper to deal with it. The proposed approach uses a triangular LR fuzzy number to analyse these uncertain factors. A modified IEEE 30-bus system is used to test the proposed method.
