Abstract
ABSTRACT This paper reports a study of the water quality of different boreholes used for drinking water by auto mechanics in Wa Municipality, Ghana. Eight boreholes and two dugouts labelled AW, BW, CW, DW, WW and AD, BD, CD, DD, WD were sampled for analysis at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). The results showed that all the heavy metals and pH values were above the WHO-recommended threshold, but temperature, NO3- and PO43- were all below the WHO thresholds except CW (xx) and DD (xx) for EC, and AW (xx) and WW (xx) for DO, respectively.
