Abstract
The aim: To evaluate the types of myocardial diastolic dysfunction depending on the degree of coronary artery lesion in patients with NSTEMI. Materials and methods: We examined 200 patients with NSTEMI aged 38 to 80 years, who were urgently hospitalized in the Vinnytsya Regional Clinical Center of Cardiovascular Pathology. All patients underwent echocardiography examination from 3 to 5 day of hospitalization after coronary angiography. Results: We established that there were no significant gender and age differences in the types of diastolic dysfunction. However, we found that with an increase in the degree of damage to the coronary arteries and an increase in the number of affected arteries, the degree of severity of myocardial diastolic dysfunction increases and the probability of occurrence of more unfavorable types of dysfunction increases. Conclusions: Determining the types of myocardial diastolic dysfunction in the early period of NSTEMI makes it possible to predict unfavorable variants of the course of the disease and prevent possible complications.
