Abstract

The physical quality of a soddy-podzolic soil in an experiment with the long-term application of mineral fertilizers has been evaluated on the basis of data on the soil porosity and the soil shrinkage capacity. The degree of soil degradation under the impact of mineral fertilizers is inversely proportional to the biomass of grown crops.
