Abstract
This study assesses the state of the petrochemical complex sustainable innovative development considering the influence of industrial risks. It is assumed that the comprehensive introduction of innovations with various types of effects in the long term will improve not only the economic indicators of the region, but also the social and environmental ones through the introduction of sustainable innovations. It should be also noted that within the framework of existing world and domestic practice, issues with the integration of indicators for the safe and accident-free operation of enterprises of the petrochemical complex remain poorly studied. The work investigates the main economic, social, and environmental indicators of the complex under consideration. An analysis of accident rates at enterprises was carried out. The main causes of emergency events have been identified and measures to reduce them have been proposed. As a result it is concluded that the development of the petrochemical complex in the long term should be safe and based on the introduction of sustainable innovations.
