Abstract

This article presents an assessment approach for diagnosis of subtypes of learning disabled students. Narrative vignettes are provided that describe the salient characteristics of five subtypes that have been identified within the population. Results of field-tests with the vignettes are reported. Administration procedures and implications for use by school psychologists are addressed. Subtype-specific suggstions for selecting additional assessment instruments and recommending instructional methods to teachers are provided.
