Abstract

Ten previously unoperated cleft palate patients with ages ranging from 11 to 36 years underwent primary palate repair. Speech assessment was performed within 24 h before surgery, and then again within 24 h after surgery. Further follow-up was not possible. An overall improvement in speech was found the day after surgery in these adult primary palate repair patients.
