Abstract

Electrical submersible pumps are the main tool for oil production in Russia. The most effective way of electrical submersible pumps regulation is to use a variable frequency drive. The submersible pump electric drive with low-voltage frequency converter is widely used in oilfields. The main advantage of this electric drive is the possibility of using inexpensive low-voltage frequency converter. The important advantage of multi-level frequency converters is high time between failures. High time between failures is provided by redundancy of power cells. Calculations are given for the reliability of submersible pumps regulated electric drives.
