Abstract

The present assessment was carried out to study the nutrients status of Banda University of Agriculture and Technology (BUAT), Banda farms. The sampling sites were characterized on the behalf of different cropping pattern and topography into CoA, CoH, miscellaneous area and PCP units. The soil after processing have been analyzed for pH, EC, available phosphorous, exchangeable potassium, available sulphur and sodium content. The results invokes that the soils of BUAT campus are slightly alkaline in reaction (7.33 to 7.89), non-saline in electrical conductivity (0.08 to 0.11 dS m-1), low in organic carbon (0.24 to 0.36%), available phosphorous (16.65 to 21.14 kg ha-1), available sulphur (4.86 to 7.51 kg ha-1) and non-alkaline for sodic, whereas it was high in exchangeable potassium (255.36 to 351.33 kg ha-1).
