Abstract
Pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) is the major public health air borne disease of India. Socio-economic burdenof this disease is also high due to its morbidity and mortality. Patients become resistant to antitubercularantibiotics due to not selecting proper antibiotics and non continuity of antibiotics. Our study tried to findout the most sensitive antibiotics for treatment as antituberculin antibiotic. AFB microscopy positive (ZNstain microscopy positive) sputum samples were collected and tested for culture and sensitivity tests. Theresults showed that most effective antibiotic is Rifampicin followed by Isoniazid. Both male and female mayequally affect by this disease but higher age groups are in more at risk in comparisons with children.
