Abstract

A study was performed at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory to identify, categorize, and assess future, major changes in reactor control rooms. A panel of control room experts, working through a modified Delphi conference, identified 184 specific concepts for change in control rooms within the next decade. The panel also assessed the relative likelihood of adoption of each of the concepts. Some of the significant, new probable types of human-computer interfaces are presented.
