Abstract
Brachial plexus injury is a debilitating condition. Advances in microsurgery have been devoted to improving the functional outcome of the reconstructed limb. Between 1990 and 2000, these authors retrospectively studied 30 patients with total paralysis of the brachial plexus who underwent double free gracilis muscle transfer (Doi's technique). This study aimed to evaluate functional outcome by assessing power grip, hook grip, pinch function, and total active motion (TAM) of the fingers.
