Abstract

Morphologic evaluation of embryos after fertilization is the first step in embryo assessment, with two pronuclei (2PN) indicating normal fertilization. Deviations from 2PN are considered consistent with abnormal fertilization and genetic ploidy, and may be discarded instead of cultured. The aim of this study was to determine the genetic ploidy of three pronuclei (3PN) embryos diagnosed by morphology.
