Abstract

The global changes of recent years, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, have led to the disruption of food production cycles in many countries and the crisis of global supply chains. These events have increased the importance of the issue of food security not only on a global scene, but also within individual national economies. The availability of the national resources, the national exposure to the world crises, the access to the foodstuffs in sufficient quantity and of high quality are assessed by international organizations to determine the level of development of the food security system in a particular country. In this article, the author considers the global food security index of the EAEU member countries and analyzes its constituent indicators.
