e20550 Background: Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) greatly influences quality of life (QOL) in cancer patients ; however, no specific treatments have been established for CRF, and at present, no medication has been approved in Japan. Systematic research using patient-reported outcome to examine symptoms, particularly fatigue, has not been conducted in palliative care settings in Japan. Objects: The objective was to evaluate fatigue, pain, and QOL in cancer patients after the point of intervention by palliative care teams (PCTs). Methods: Patients who were referred to PCTs at three institutions, were asked to complete the Brief Fatigue Inventory (BFI), Brier Pain Inventory (BPI), and EORTC QLQ-C15-PAL at and 14 days after the intervention by PCTs. Results: Of 183 patients recruited, 86% were diagnosed with recurrence or metastasis.
