Assessment and Prevention of Aggressive Behavior among Youths of Color: Integrating Cultural and Social Factors

Abstract

The effectiveness of interventions to prevent violence among young people of color is limited by the failure to consider social and cultural factors affecting oppressed groups. This article discusses how school social workers can incorporate the social and cultural experiences of varied ethnic groups into the assessment and prevention of aggressive behavior.
