Abstract

In the proposed experimental assessment of the temperature error in operational machine tools, the workpiece is monitored by means of a measuring probe as it is machined. Experiments show that the temperature error in the machine tool may be compensated by specified thermal displacements of the machine-tool components before machining begins.
