Abstract

This study aims to examine the mediating effect of organisational climate on the relationship between emotional intelligence and leader-member exchange on organisational citizenship behavior in the context of Malaysian banking industry. To achieve the research objectives, the survey and a systematic analysis method has employed. The relationship variables were examined using IBM Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software Version 24 while the mediation analysis was examined using SMART PLS-3. Findings of this study reveal that emotional intelligence and leader-member exchange have a positive relationship on organisational citizenship behavior, while the hypotheses were positively supported, directly and indirectly (the impression of partial mediation) with all the twelve (12) hypotheses revealing a positive and high test for all constructs with significant levels. Based on the outcomes of this study, the direction of implications and limitations are discussed along with suggestions for future research.
