Abstract

The general health of individuals undergoing treatment at University, as well as panoramic radiographs Finding out how oral illness and overall health are related was the goal of the study. Finding out if those with good dental health are less likely to develop systemic disorders was the aim of the study. Materials and Method :-A random selection was made from the patient records of all 1250 adult patients treated atAdhiparasakthi Dental College and Hospital. Using the medical histories that were taken during each patient's visit to the clinic, the overall health of the patients was evaluated. An index of medical severity was created based on the quantity of diseases and severe symptoms reported. The patients' oral health was assessed using panoramic radiographs, which also produced an oral index that comprised a review of diseases such tooth loss, caries, periodontitis, periapical lesions, and pericoronitis. Results:A total of 1000 individuals with excellent panoramic radiographs were included in the study. There were 600 women and 460 men in terms of gender. The patients' ages ranged from 18 to 86 years old, with a mean of ±13.8 SD years. The study intended to examine the connection between oral health and systemic illnesses in an individual. In this study, oral health was assessed using a modified version of the oral health. Conclusions :-The results of this investigation supported earlier publications' conclusions regarding the connection that already exists between dental infections and medical conditions and shown a strong relationship between oral health and overall health. These findings do notsuggest a causal relationship when the diagnosis of oral illness was based only on radiographic information. Future research requires prospective clinical and interventional investigations.
