Abstract

The financial inclusion program is one of the important government initiatives by the government of India since the 1950s. Several broader initiatives have been taken by the government of India since the 1950s to promote the accessibility of financial services to those sections of society which were excluded from mainstream banking and are marginalized and weaker sections of society. For the promotion of a details assessment of the government program for financial inclusion in India, the researcher highlights some of the programs and the outcomes associated with those programs for activating financial inclusion in India.
