Abstract

The procedures and results of an assessment study of water quality in a small stream impacted only by nonpoint source pollution are presented. Also, considerations for the design of a small stream monitoring survey are discussed. A mathematical model for water quality in small streams was applied to the monitoring data and estimates of the nonpoint source water quality were obtained. An attempt was made to interpret the nonpoint quality in terms of land use.
