Abstract
<h3>Objective</h3> To investigate the relationship among microalbuminuria, the levels of plasma adiponectin, the morphology and degree of coronary stenostic lesions in patients with coronary atherosclerotic disease. <h3>Methods</h3> 240 patients were divided into two groups according to having complex stenosis or not, and the degree of stenosis was analysed in terms of coronary stenosis index as well. Before coronary angiography, microalbuminuria was measured as urinary albumin-to-creatintine ratio (UACR), and plasma adiponectin (APN) were detected, respectively. <h3>Results</h3> UACR was higher in patients with complex stenosis (P = 0.027), while APN was lower in patients with complex stenosis than those without complex stenosis (P = 0.032). By the method of stepwise multiple linear regression and correlation, it is found that both UACR and APN had linear relationship with the coronary stenosis index. <h3>Conclusions</h3> The increased UACR and decreased APN can contribute to the complex stenosis and the degree of coronary stenostic lesion in patients with coronary artery disease.
