Abstract

As many applications in electrical engineering use circuits that include magnetic coupling coils, this paper aims to analyze their operation in permanent sinusoidal regime. It will be determined and will be taken into account the influence that certain parameters of the circuit have on some more important features. In order to obtain optimal performance, conditions will be imposed and relations that the quantities must verify will be derived. Two cases of practical utility were analyzed in detail: the case of two coupled coils in series and the case of the magnetically coupled coils used in wireless power transfer. The imposed condition referred to obtain a maximum value for the power transmitted to the load, respectively for the current through it. This has resulted in various relations and restrictions imposed on the parameters of the circuit.
