Abstract

Petroleum exploration has moved off the continental shelf and into the deeper waters of the Faeroe-Shetland Channel, This paper describes aspects of this, the southeast flank of the Faeroe Basin, in particular the Tertiary stratigraphy and occurrences of igneous rocks.
