Abstract

Preelementary school: some aspects in France. As from beginning of the next decade will probably the rate of 3-years old children attending preelementary school in France reachs 100%. Consequently, the evolution of the number of pupils attending preelementary school will increasingly follow both the irregularities of French natality and the increasing number of the two-years old pupils attending preelementary school. This evolution will simplify the prevision models at a national scale. But, at a local scale the models remain more complex. The institutions in charge of young children vary notably according to the type of institution (private/public) and the geographical area (rural/urban/Parisian). Before the age of 3 many different factors can explain the socio-geographical disparities observed.
