Abstract

Ashâbu'l-Hadith, the name given to scholars and supporters dedicated to the science of hadith, who believed that it was possible to construct and revel religion of Islam. Ashâbu'l-Hadiths was used to describe those who engaged in the tradition of hadith in the early period, especially the narrators. Later on, those who base their religious ideas on the hadith in mind. Those who do not accept a mental thought and comparison in the religion, do not but to let use mind only for transplanting primary fields. This thought was based on the Sunnah, which was regarded as the second main source of religious thought andpredominantly after the Qur'an. This attitude, which takes a serious place among the Muslims of today and forms the basis of especially the salafi thinker that at the basis of some discussions in the understanding and living of the religion in the modern world. This study to define Ashâbu'l-Hadith what one of the two main reflexes of early period understanding of religion. We do not only portray the theological perspective of Ashâbu'l-Hadith in terms of its own principles but also we will consider their some ideas, in particular in terms of consistency with their own thought system in the context of critical thinking.

1. Ashâbu’l-Hadis Kavramının Tanımlanması Hadis ilmine adanmış âlimlerle, hadis rivayetiyle meşgul olan ravilere verilen bu isim, dini bir anlayış olarak da tarif edilmiştir. Bu anlamı çağrıştırmak için “Ehlü'l-Hadîs” ve “Ehlü'lEser” tabirleri de kullanılmaktadır.
